Part One: Infantry & Armored Unit Objectives
(back to top)

The Infantry and Armored Units represent the core and heart of the German defense.

While playing with the German Infantry and Panzer Divisions, you will face many challenges. It falls to you to defend the outposts, towns, and objective areas which have been fortified and prepared to face the Allied Invasion.

The Allies have come to fight headlong into the teeth of your hardened defenses... and you have come to stop them cold.

The Allies will throw everything they have at you on the critical landing beaches. They will attempt to casue havoc behind your lines with Paratroopers and Special Forces Units.

Your tanks and anti-armor units will face off against their tanks as they attempt to storm inland with the invasion.

Every hour of the game is crucial. Every minute you stand your ground against the Allied invaders could mean the difference between victory and defeat. A German infatryman must be prepared to play hard, play long, face tough odds,
and above all else...
Hold the line!

352nd Infantrie-Division
The Atlantic Wall - Omaha Beach
D-Day Objectives

You will oppose the landings of the U.S. 1st Infantry Division at Omaha Beach. From the most spectacular fortifications on the D-Day Field, it is your mission to repel the waves of Allied Invaders that will storm ashore at Omaha.

You serve as the first and most critical line of defense against the Allies' attempt to penetrate the lines at Omaha Beach. To aid in your defense, the ominous Atlantic Wall overlooking Omaha beach is fortified with more than 1/2 a mile of interwoven trenchworks, concrete pillboxes, and massive gun emplacements, each an impressive base in it's own right. The beach below is strewn with miles of simulated barbed wire and a forest of obstacles to slow the Allies down.

The battle for Omaha Beach is without a doubt, one of the most intense battles of the entire game. A defender on the Wall must be prepared to face the rugged terrain that aids in the defense of his position and a virtual tidal wave of Allied Infantry.

Hold the Wall at all costs. Defend Omaha Beach to the last man. That is your mission.

Primary Objectives:

709th Infantrie-Division
Utah Beach
D-Day Objectives

You will oppose the landings of the U.S. 4th Infantry Division at Utah Beach. At Utah, the Allies will face your withering fire as they cross wide open beach. You hold the line against them from the heavily fortified and entrenched high-ground that overlooks the obstacle barricaded beach.

Utah beach is one of the most visually stunning objective areas on the playing field.

It falls upon you to defend the northern flank of the German Army against all attackers. It is also your responsibility to defend Causeway #2, the main exit road from Utah Beach that the Allies will attempt to use to bring their tank forces inland.

U.S. Tank Forces will attempt to come ashore at Utah. Along with the infantry, they will attempt to break the back of your lines. You must defend the northern end of the field from Allied assault. You will face a direct onslaught of tanks and infantry. Your mission is to stop them on the sand.

Primary Objectives:

Defend Utah Beach | Total 400 pts
11:00 AM (200) - 12:00 PM (200)

Defend Causeway #2 | Total 150 pts

716th Infantrie-Division
Sword Beach / City of Caen
D-Day Objectives

You will defend the southern flank of the German Army against the British and Canadian invasion at Sword Beach and in the strategically vital city of Caen.

As a player in the German 716th Infantrie-Division,
you will be faced with defending the large and rugged southern third of the D-Day field, from the pillbox studded slopes of Sword Beach to the door-to-door fighting of Caen.

In addition, you stand in the path of British Tank forces as they enter the field near Sword Beach and circle the streets of Caen. In this same area of the field, you will fight alongside the feared German 21st Panzer Division, as they take the field to oppose the Allied invasion.

You anchor the southern flank of the German Army, and it is absolutely crucial that you mount a staunch, hard defense against the invading British and Canadian forces.

Primary Objectives:

Defend Sword Beach | Total 200 pts
11:00 AM (200)

Defend the Caen Fuel Dump | Total 200 pts

91st Luftlande Division
The Airfield - Causeway #2
D-Day Objectives

The joint defense of Causeway #2, and the defense of the Airfield fall to those that serve in the 91st Luftlande Division. These objective areas are critical "field center" positions that support and anchor the core of the German defense. To your north, you defend Causeway #2 from your high perch in the hills above the beaches. To your south, you defend the doorway to Colleville, the home of the German High Command. To your east, you guard the backdoor of St. Laurent, Cherbourg Bridge.

Virtually every Allied unit that enters play from the North must fight their way through you to move around the field. Have no doubt, they will try. The Airfield sees some of the heaviest most constant action of the game.

Downed airplanes and heavy vehicles dot the landscape at the Airfield. Laden in multi-story buildings, bunkers, and trenchworks, the Airfield when defended by hard-playing German defenders is a nightmare for the Allies to cross.

This action culminates into the Airfield Fuel Tank itself becoming a target of the Allied assault, as they attempt to capture and destroy your vital fuel reserves.

Defend it at all costs.

Primary Objectives:

Defend Airfield Fuel Tank | Total 200 pts
1:30 PM (50) - 2:30 PM (50) - 3:30 PM (100)

Defend Causeway #2 | Total 150 pts
11:30 AM (50) - 12:30 PM (50) - 1:30 PM (50)

The chances of encountering opposing armor from the U.S. 741st Tank Bn. high in the areas of

352nd Panzerjäger-Batallion
D-Day Objectives:

Your unit is the tip of the spear that the German Army will weild against the approaching onslaught of Allied armor. The absolutely critical mission of finding and destroying Allied tanks is laid squarely in your hands.

To accomplish this mission, you will have to be highly mobile across a massive playing field and rugged terrain, but also able to anchor crucial choke-points as the Allied armor rolls onto the field.

Whether you are an A/T gunner, armed with a Panzershrek, or a light infantryman who has volunteered for this unit to defend the gunners, your mission will be the same:

You are called upon to stand toe-to-toe with the blazing guns of enemy tanks... and destroy them. The weapons you carry are also capable of knocking out select buidlings and bunkers around the field. One well placed shot, and you can eliminate every enemy player in a bunker or building.

You bring a the equivalent of a hammer to a gunfight... but the enemy tanks and infantry fear you at every turn.

916th Infantrie-Regiment
St. Laurent
D-Day Objectives

Your unit defends the town of St. Laurent from behind the earthen and concrete walls of a dedicated infantry base. In the defense of St. Laurent, you also serve another crucial role, the defense of Cherbourg Bridge.

Cherbourg Bridge is a main artery that links sections of the vital center of the field. It must be defended at all costs to stem the flow of Allied troops. If the Allies gain control of St. Laurent and Cherbourg bridge, they can launch attacks in any direction they chose, right into the heart of your defenses.

St. Laurent overlooks Omaha Beach in the east, and the town of Vierville below. You share the field center with Colleville, and the German's ability to maintain control of the crucial support lines lies heavily in the successful defense of St. Laurent.

The grand finale battle for the German Headquarters at Colleville will rage at your doorstep. From St. Laurent, you will stand poised to counter and break the momentum of the final Allied assault. If you fail, the defense of German Occupied terriory goes down with you. Your objective area is crossed by both U.S. and British tank routes. Be prepared to face the full force of Allied Armor.

726th Infantrie-Regiment
Colleville - Brecourt Manor
German Headquarters Normandy
D-Day Objectives

Your unit, the hard chargers of the 726th, is tasked with the defense of the German Headquarters, operational base of the German High Command. Colleville is the heart German Occupied Territory, and it is the great prize that the Allies will be seeking by day's end.

Colleville is the hub of all German forces, and like spokes on a wheel, the German defense radiates out from the fortified battlements you defend. Towering concrete structures, massive earthworks, and a maze of mounds and berms aid in the defense of your critical position. The area you defend is surrounded by open ground, which the Allies must cross under fire to
oppose you.

In addition, your unit must defend Brecourt Manor, an outlying fortification within long-ball range of your nearest battlements at Colleville. If the Allies win a foothold in Brecourt Manor, they anchor a fortified base of their own to launch assaults against Colleville and the surrounding area. You must deny them this advantage.

The battle of D-Day culminates into one titanic struggle for who will lay claim to the German Headquarters in Normandy. The fate of the battle, and perhaps the fate of the day, will ultimately be decided in your hands.

Without a doubt, by day's end, you will have faced everything the Allies have to throw at you.

Primary Objectives:

Defend Colleville | Total 500 pts
2:00 PM (50) - 3:00 PM (100) - 4:00 PM (150) - 5:00 PM (200)

1058th Infantrie-Regiment
Ste. Mere-Eglise - Merderet Bridge
D-Day Objectives

Your unit defends the coastal town of Ste. Mere-Eglise. Within sight of the landings at Utah, your position is a crucial roadblock to a wider Allied Advance. Nestled deep in an imposing valley, it is a defender's friend, and an attackers nightmare. Dense forests, steep valley walls, and closely packed buildings aid in your defense, while they make life difficult on any would-be attacker.

Ste. Mere-Eglise is a sleepy little village transformed into a monstrous battle like the flick of a switch for control of Merderet Bridge.

The defense of Ste. Mere-Eglise denies the Allies easy passage up and down the length of the northern end of the field, and forces them into the teeth of the German defenses. In addition, it denies the the prize of Merderet Bridge, which your position stradles defensively.

To take the bridge, the Allies must fight their way through you at Ste. Mere-Eglise, a feat which is much easier said than done.

Defend the town and the bridge at all costs.

Primary Objectives:

Defend Merderet Bridge | Total 150 pts
10:30 AM (50) - 11:30 AM ( 50) - 12:30 PM (50)

914th Infantrie-Regiment
Vierville - La Fiere Bridge
D-Day Objectives

The Battle at Vierville is the pinnacle of urban fighting at D-Day. Dozens of buildings, many of them multi-storied, fill the floor of a sweeping woodland valley, which is crossed here and there by the channel of rocky stream.

Every second of your fight in Vierville will be door-to-door, house-to-house, with the menacing speceter of heavily bunkered valley walls looming over any would-be attackers. Vierville is a defenders dream, a place that the Allies will be forced to face every man in street-to-street fighting, while your positions on the valley walls lay fire down on the approaches of your enemies.

Dense forest growth, the most rugged terrain, and tightly packed streets lend themselves to some of the most intense engagements of the entire game.

Defend Vierville and La Fiere Bridge from the Allied horde to break your enemy's ability to pincer the entire northern end of the field from the valley.

Primary Objectives:

Defend Vierville | Total 200 pts
1:00 PM (50) - 2:00 PM (50) - 3:00 PM (50) - 4:00 PM (50)

Defend La Fiere Bridge | Total 150 pts
12:00 PM (50) - 1:00 PM (50) - 2:00 PM (50)

The 6th Fallschirmjäger-Regiment must stand ready to respond in force to wherever they are needed most. You must be prepared to fight with a unit that must be fluid, light, swift, and above all else, hard-hitting.

Expect to do battle in virtually every corner of the 700 acre playing field, against any and every unit that attempts to breach passage through German Territory.

The terrain is brutal, the enemy is numerous, the field is massive and your unit will be called upon to counter-attack, ambush, harass, and destroy the enemy wherever the need is greatest.

This is a physically demanding unit, not for the faint of heart.

Primary Objectives:

Seek and Destroy Allied forces as needed to support the Geman Defense.

Support the German Defense as directed by The German High Command.

Many tasks fall to the German Sniper Korps. Primary among them is the elimintion of enemy leadership targets (Colonels and above) and the countering of Allied Snipers, who will be on the hunt for the leadership within your army.

First and foremost, the German Sniper Korps is a dedicated guerilla fighting unit, set upon harassing and disrupting the Allies at every turn, by any means possible.

The Geisterjagers take the field with one primary goal: To make the Allies pay for every inch of ground, and to leave their enemy jumping at every shadow and snap of a twig.
